The History of Goat Milk Therapy After moving to rural Alabama, I had the opportunity to begin raising a small herd of Nubian dairy goats. Upon experiencing the benefits of goat milk soap, I was inspired to develop facial care products myself. I could never find a product that would relieve my dry, itchy skin. I wanted skin care products that would keep my skin moisturized and looking young, something that mass-produced products had failed to do. I wanted quality skin care products that would do the job they were supposed to do: feed and moisturize skin, delay aging, but still be made from natural ingredients.
I began learning how skin functions and how goat milk, herbs, natural oils and butters can nourish and improve skin. I worked for years to develop a variety of skin care products using goat milk. That’s when Goat Milk Therapy was born. Our goats have been bred to produce superb quality milk, and we have formulated a method for extracting the best qualities from that milk.
Using my goat milk skin care products, my skin has become healthy and glowing. These are products which truly work! I am 40 years old, and people are often surprised to learn my age. Our logo is inspired by our “herd queen”, Carlotta. She is our best “milker” and seems to know how beautiful she is. One morning she stood out proudly in the bright and beautiful colors of sunrise and the idea for the Goat Milk Therapy logo was born. With our wonderful graphic designer Lynn McAdams we created a lovely logo and the graphics you see on our labels. The baby goats on the labels were born on our farm.
