What are body scrubs? They are a mixture of mild exfoliating abrasives, butters, and oils. They clean away loose particles and skin cells, while the moisturizing and nourishing oils penetrate through the open pores. Sugar, salts, and powdered pumice, wax beads are some of the most commonly used abrasives.

How are they used? In the bath or shower, after wetting the skin, massage the scrub over your body and face.

It is recommended to leave sugar and pumice scrubs on the body for up to 3 minutes before rinsing off. Salt scrubs should be rinsed off soon after applying.

However, do not apply salt scrubs over open cuts or sores, or around the "private" areas of the body. Some of the salt scrubs are quite concentrated and can cause a burning sensation.
